Staff Pharmacist

Job Title: Staff Pharmacist

Duration: 4+ Months

Location: Byfield, MA 01922

Schedule Notes:

Option 1: Five days, Monday to Friday, with two shifts available: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

Option 2: Four days, Monday to Friday, with one shift available: 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, and three shifts available: 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

Please note: During the first week only, training will be from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Duties:

• Interprets physicians' prescriptions and compounds and dispenses medications within regulatory guidelines.
• Consults with customers regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions.
• Counsels customers and handles complex problem resolution.
• Performing first and second verification of prescription orders, performing DUR's, outreach to prescriber offices.
• Fielding phone calls from patients as well as prescriber's offices

Skills:

• Accurate, efficient and excellent customer service skills
• At least one year as a registered pharmacist, retail or similar experience preferred

Education:

• The candidate should have a Pharm D or bachelors in Pharmacy AND should be licensed in MA.
• Requires a RPh license.
• BS Pharmacy or Pharm D

Minimum Degree Required:

• Professional (J.D., M.D., D.D.S. or Pharm. D.)
