Job responsibilities

• Build a research team and lead cutting-edge discovery of target nomination, validation to pipeline development.

• Be highly aware of emerging fields/targets/technologies of interest, and be able to transform them into innovative and feasible pipeline projects.

• Ensure independent, collaborative and productive work flow evidenced by pipeline molecule delivery, patents, etc.

• Set up and sustain prolific collaborations with Research teams overseas. Effectively communicate and utilize established platforms and resources. Contribute to the Research community through meetings, competitive intelligence and collaborative projects.

• Actively work with Clinical/IP/CMC/PMO/BD to move project forward in a cross-functional and highly collaborative environment.

• Actively seek collaboration with external industrial and academic partners.

• Manage team performance goals, hiring and budget. Supervise staff members and foster an open and rigorous research environment within team.


Qualifications

• PhD with at least 3 years’ postdoctoral training.

• Industrial experience required, preferentially in the fields of cardiovascular, metabolic and immunology.

• Managerial experience highly desirable.

• Tracked records of original contributions to his/her field, evidenced by high profile first-author publications.

• Hands-on biology skillsets.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Agility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
