This contract opportunity is based in Cape Coral, FL, offering a 13-week assignment with an immediate start. Candidates will be positioned within a dynamic cardiovascular OR environment, handling plex cardiac cases and providing critical support to surgeons and nursing staff. Location Insight Cape Coral, FL, situated near Fort Myers, provides a vibrant munity with beautiful waterways, outdoor recreational opportunities, and a relaxed coastal lifestyle. The area boasts favorable weather year-round, making it an ideal location to balance professional responsibilities with personal leasure and exploration. Qualifications and Experience At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with a focus on heavy cardiac and open-heart procedures Certified Surgical Tech credential preferred; non-certified may be considered with substantial CVOR experience Prior travel experience in healthcare settings is required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory Strong ability to work in a team environment and adapt to fast-paced surgical schedules Schedule 10-hour day shifts with a flexible day off On-call responsibilities approximately 1 weekend per month and 1-2 additional days weekly, with coverage until 6:30 AM (details to be discussed during the interview) Key Responsibilities Assist surgeons and nursing staff in plex cardiovascular surgeries ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols Ensure the availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment Participate in patient preparation and room turnover maintaining efficiency and quality standards Additional Details This is a contract position with a radius requirement of 50 miles from the permanent address of the healthcare facility.
