Business Systems Analyst

Description Chief Industries' Corporate Office is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join the Chief team. This position plans and directs analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Job Responsibilities: Analyze business functions to develop new or modified information processing systems. Areas of specific functional expertise may include accounting, production, inventory control, distribution, cost analysis, finance, marketing and human resources. Possess technical and functional aptitude in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures. Consult with business unit management and personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements. Consult and coordinate with ERP developers and other IT department staff to design and develop automated business systems. Write and maintain functional specifications for new or modified business systems. Provide good documentation on requests for technical assistance in areas such as reports, queries and security solutions. Develop, coordinate, and implement plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing. Track and document changes to functional and business specifications. Create and update user documentation, instructions, and procedures. i.e. Work Routines, Flow Charts and other documentation. Monitors, documents and resolves post-implementation issues and revision requests. Track activities and keep supervisor updated on progress, issues and successes on a timely basis. i.e. Meeting agendas, weekly contact reports etc. Provide input for time and cost estimates for projects and activities. Provide input for planning activities such as wave planning and preparation. Provide unparalleled personal attention to meeting the needs of our customers. Treat all stakeholders with dignity and respect. Education: High School Diploma, or GED, required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualifications and Skill Requirements: Communication - Have good Written, Verbal and Listening Skills. Cooperation / Teamwork / Attitude - Interact well with and assist others; get along with coworkers and supervisors; be willing to accept assignments, criticism, etc. Be open to change / Flexibility - Willing to accept new duties and responsibility; respond well to sudden changes (i.e. working hours fluctuating according to production); willing to help where needed most, cross-train. Be punctual and consistent in being on the job. Be available for and willing to work hours required to complete job duties. Follow through on assignments to completion. Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner, utilizing required safety equipment. Keep work area neat and orderly. Report unsafe conditions and injuries to supervisors. Follow established procedures.
