A reputable acute care hospital located near the breathtaking South Florida coastline, is seeking a talented and dynamic Lead Cardiac Sonographer to join their expanding cardiology department. As the Lead Cardiac Sonographer, you’ll take charge of the echocardiography team, guiding and mentoring sonographers while ensuring the highest level of care for patients undergoing diagnostic procedures. You’ll perform advanced echocardiography techniques, including structural heart procedures, and contribute to the development of protocols that enhance patient outcomes. Your role will also include administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, quality assurance, and liaising with cardiology and other healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of sonographers, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to hospital protocols.
  • Perform advanced echocardiograms, including structural heart procedures and pediatric echocardiography.
  • Manage quality assurance, ensuring the accuracy of diagnostic tests and maintaining high levels of patient care.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee department scheduling, ensuring proper coverage and smooth operation of echocardiography services.
  • Stay current with advancements in echocardiography techniques and technology, implementing best practices.
