Retail Sales Associates contribute to our daily store operations and act as our greatest brand ambassadors.Essential Job DutiesEnsure each guest receives a stellar experience and is welcomed into the store and greeted with our custom step-in lines.Field guest questions concerning product information, price and uses for products.Establish rapport with guests to ensure their return and/or word of mouth advertising.Maintain merchandise and product inventory levels throughout the store (on shelves, counters, tables and containers).Help maintain store appearance by contributing toward daily routines.Assess store inventory levels; notify management of replenishment requirements.Price merchandise with labels, SKU's, prices and locations.Maintain solid, accurate and current product knowledge to adequately promote product by reading applicable publications and attending required training activities.Comply with operating standards and procedures pertaining to the daily operation of the store.Contribute to the team effort and embody core values of Inclusion, Safety, Courtesy, Show and Efficiency.Knowledge and Job RequirementsProven guest focusExcellent verbal and written communicationPrecision in counting and cash handlingAbility to utilize simple math skills to measure ingredients, read a scale and follow recipesInterest in and ability to share knowledge of our many product varietiesAbility to pivot and remain flexible in a fast-paced environmentDetail oriented, self-motivated, team playerPart-Time less than 30 hours per weekAbility to work a consistent and reliable schedule: days, nights, weekends and HolidaysPhysical RequirementsAbility to operate kitchen tools and food equipment (Tea Bar)Physically able to assemble and prepare merchandising displaysMust be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 100% of the time)Ability to lift and maneuver inventory; up to 35lbsAbility to tolerate spice aromas for long periods of timeCompensation: $14.00 - $17.00 per hourWe Create and Share the Experience Every Day Life is Better Lived with a Little Spice.The Spice & Tea Exchange was founded in 2008, by a group of talented individuals with a passion for life and food.
