Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of pediatric patients in hospice care.

- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.

- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care.

- Provide expert symptom management and pain control to maximize comfort and quality of life for patients.

- Offer guidance and support to families, empowering them to navigate end-of-life care decisions and bereavement.

- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on disease progression, treatment options, and advance care planning.

Qualifications:

- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program.

- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Nevada.

- Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Pediatric Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner preferred or FNP (Family Nurse practitioner)

- Prior experience in pediatric nursing, palliative care, or hospice care is highly desirable.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care and family support.
