Vice President, Consumer & Community Bank Corporate Development Card PartnershipsThis is an exciting opportunity to drive partnerships on our Consumer & Community Bank Corporate Development team. As a Vice President on the Consumer & Community Bank Corporate Development Card Partnerships team, you will source, negotiate, and execute strategic partnerships with Chase Card Services. This is a highly-visible position that will encompass strategic analysis, independent negotiation of commercial deals, as well as leading through influence across a large, multifaceted organization. You will face off with senior stakeholders externally and internally, including JP Morgan Chase's most senior executive leaders. Corporate Development Card Partnerships team drives partnerships to deliver partner funded customer value to Chase credit cardholders, owning the discovery, negotiation, and contract execution of partnership deals. The scope of partnerships includes a variety of merchant categories from mass to premium and covers all Chase credit card products. This is a dynamic function that builds a hybrid of different skills including strategy, project management, stakeholder management, negotiation, etc. By joining this team, you will be at the front seat of Chase card business. The Corporate Development team at JP Morgan Chase is broadly responsible for all strategic partnerships at Chase across our major consumer businesses, including the Consumer Bank, Business Bank, Card Services, Home Lending, and Auto. Across these businesses, the team is responsible for digital banking and payments partnerships with FinTech's and large tech companies, merchant value and embedded benefits partnerships to strengthen the card portfolio, co-brand partnerships, and our payments network partnerships. Corporate Development is at the heart of many of the most important strategic and business decisions at Chase and these partnerships are critical to the firm's ability to execute on its core strategies and meet the needs of our customers in a rapidly changing financial services ecosystem.Job Responsibilities:Lead the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of strategic card partnershipsCollaborate with finance, legal and other functional partners to develop business cases and deal constructs and ensure compliance of deal control processProvide updates to senior executives on deal workMaintain strong connectivity with other partnership teamsMonitor external environment for competitive developments and potential partnership opportunities and share perspectives with key line of business partnersRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:Strong written & verbal communication skills, strong PowerPoint / Excel skillsStrong project management skillsProven ability to negotiate commercial dealsAbility to influence across levels and drive progress in a matrix organizationComfortable operating a dynamic fast pace and sometimes unstructured environmentPrior business development and partnership experiencePreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:Prior credit card industry experienceKnowledge of small businessesJP Morgan Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
