Distribution SupervisorWe are a sporting goods retailer with over 250 locations throughout the Midwest. Due to growth and expansion, we need to add a Floor Supervisor to our fast-paced Distribution Center Team located in Marion, IN. This position is responsible for leading their team in achieving productivity goals while maintaining a positive work environment.ResponsibilitiesReviews reports to determine daily department staffing levels.Promotes and supports safety programs to reduce or eliminate employee injuries.Plans daily production goals.Maintains positive employee relations and records on a daily basis.Conducts employee counseling, reviews and evaluations.Conducts weekly and monthly staffing meetings with Operations Managers.Utilizes Standard Operating Procedures to correct and coach associates.QualificationsSkills:Strong verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of specific functions within a distribution center.Excellent employee relations skills.Good organization and prioritization skills.Acute attention to detail.Experience:Must have 2 years experience successfully supervising a department within a large distribution center environment.Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.
