Direct Support ProfessionalMaxim Healthcare is hiring for a Direct Support Professional to provide support and care for individuals with intellectual disabilities within their homes or communities.Responsibilities include:Ensuring client's health, wellness and safetyEncouraging individual goals as they relate to learning and maintaining independent living skillsCrisis prevention and interventionPromoting advocacy and individual rightsMonitoring and maintaining detailed and compliant documentation on client status, interactions, and behaviorsSafe and appropriate implementation of behavior support plan strategies and interventionsAccurate and immediate reporting of suspected abuse, neglect, and exploitationUtilizing skills such as prompting, instruction, modeling, and reinforcement as it relates to person centered services delivered based on the Individual Support PlanPromoting independence in activities of daily living, work/volunteer, learning, and leisureProviding transportation, based on client needsCompleting required annual trainings to maintain certificationsRequirements include:Ability to read and write proficiently in EnglishSuccessful completion of the Direct Care Worker Competency evaluation processCurrent CPR CardCurrent Health Screening (in accordance with state regulations)Provide proof of one of the following qualifications:A valid and verifiable Pennsylvania nurses licenseA valid and verifiable Pennsylvania certified nurse aide certificationCertificate of completion from state approved home health aide programDemonstrated competency by passing a competency evaluation developed by the Home Care Agency which meets the requirements of the stateCompletion of a training program developed by a Home Care Agency or Home Care Registry, or other entity which meets the requirements of the state or training programSuccessful completion of another program identified by the DepartmentMaxim Benefits include:Health and wellnessMedical/prescription, dental, vision, health advocacy, and health advocate employee assistance programRetirement and financial securityLifestyle benefitsAbout Maxim Healthcare: Maxim Healthcare has been making a difference in the lives of our patients, caregivers, employees and communities for more than 30 years.
