Support Services CoordinatorThe Support Service Coordinator in the Quality Unit of the Children Services Division will be responsible for program development, support, and quality improvement programs for sub-recipients and partner sites, addressing any complex and technical support needs. Support Service Coordinator will manage professional development and training, registration, and approval process provided by our support service contractors for DFSS-CSD delegate agencies. The Support Services Coordinator in Data is responsible for supporting data management, compliance monitoring, and reporting to ensure high-quality service delivery for early childhood programs. This position plays a key role in maintaining data integrity, analyzing program performance, and assisting with system improvements to support CEL programs mission of serving children and families.Essential Duties:Conducts regular monitoring assessments of delegate agencies, partners and contractors to evaluate their performance in various program areas (e.g., education, health and nutrition, family engagement and involvement, and program management) on an established scheduleConducts site visits to review and assess programs using monitoring tools that reflects the performance standards of the division's programs and funding streamsPrepares reports documenting site visits, identifying agencies' performance levels, areas of deficiency, and their need for technical assistance and trainingProvides on-site technical assistance, guidance, and support to delegate agencies, partners and contractors to correct and assist staff with developing integrated improvement plansConducts follow-up evaluations to assess progress on improvement plansServes as a resource person to delegate agencies, partners and contractors in the various program areas (e.g., education, health and nutrition, family engagement and involvement, and program management) as part of an integrated program operations teamAssists with the development and implementation of training workshops for delegate agencies', partners' and contractor staff and parents to ensure they are knowledgeable about program requirements, policies, and proceduresMaintains computerized records to document work activities (e.g., delegate agency compliance reporting, site and enrollment assessments, training sessions)Updates the child and family tracking system as requiredIdentifies educational and community resources to render services to children and familiesWorks collaboratively as a team member in assessing and enhancing the educational and social service programs provided by delegate agenciesAssists in other duties related to the overall mission of the divisionNote: The list of essential duties is not intended to be inclusive; there may be other duties that are essential to particular positions within the class.Address: 1615 W. Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60622 Hours: Monday- Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pmThis position is in the Career ServiceQualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Social Sciences, or a directly related field, plus two (2) years of work experience in education or social serviceShould the above criteria not be fulfilled, the following options are acceptable:Six (6) years of work experience in education or social serviceGraduation from an accredited college with an Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Education, Social Sciences or a directly related field, plus four (4) years of work experience in education or social serviceGraduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree or higher in Early Childhood, Education, Social Sciences or a directly related field, plus one (1) year of work experience in education or social serviceSelection Criteria:This position requires applicants to complete an interview.
