More about what your day-to-day may look like:

  • Research, create, and maintain comprehensive technical product manuals, parts sales catalogs, specifications, and bulletins that are appropriate for the intended audience
  • Work closely with various departments to ensure finished documentation meets requirements.
  • Develop and maintain content with a consistent format across all documentation channels
  • Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to communicate complex product information into simple, professional, and engaging content for greatest comprehension
  • Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement
  • Create graphics, illustrations, or photographs to elaborate on or complement technical writing
  • Create, adapt, and follow project schedules and deadlines
  • Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals.
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical documentation


Qualifications

  • Championing attitude regarding customer service
  • 1-3 years’ experience as an effective technical writer
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable using text, graphics, illustrations, and photographs
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent electrical and mechanical skills required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Previous CAD experience a plus
  • Previous mechanical or electrical design experience a plus
