Resource 1 is in need of a Sr. Business Systems Analyst with 7+ years of experience for a 6-month contract/ contract-for-hire position. This position is hybrid and requires 3 days a week (Mon, Tues, Wed) onsite in Oak Brook, IL. This position will require about 70% strong BA skills and 30% technical skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify appropriate stakeholders in a given department and capture requirements to create Business Requirements Document (BRD), including KPIs, metrics, business use cases, etc.
  • Establish data flow diagrams with departments to ensure awareness of how changes made to the data will affect downstream systems.
  • Perform data profiling and data quality checks.
  • Leverage strong SQL programming skills to created complex queries and pull data from various data sources.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and data architecture teams to translate business requirements into technical designs.
  • Perform unit testing on finished product(s) and facilitate UAT with end-users.
  • Provide training to end-users and ensure adoption.
  • Build Power BI dashboards.


Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Data Analyst.
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries for data profiling.
  • Strong understanding of Star and Snowflake schemas.
  • Experience building Power BI dashboards.
  • Basic understanding of Databricks.
  • Experience with Confluence and JIRA.
  • Experience working with large data sets would be a plus
  • Experience working on IoT, subscription-based, or mobile app-based projects would be a plus.
  • Strong communication skills are required to interface with business stakeholders.
