Are you a strategic writer who thrives working with multiple clients and topics? 


We’re looking to add a stellar freelance writer to our team. 


This position requires writing engaging copy and maximizing value-per-work for newsletters ranging from healthcare to finance to tech and beyond. Each newsletter is typically between 250-600 words and well-established, meaning brand voice and cadence are locked in. 


A great fit for the Sweet Fish Writing team will also be versatile and play a role in developing a few other minor assets as well — podcast episode planning (from which newsletter topics are typically selected), accompanying social media captions, YouTube podcast episode descriptions, and occasional optional work. 


Our ideal writer has: 

  • 2+ years of professional writing experience in B2B or across various sectors (or a strong portfolio proving evidence of growth and consistency)
  • A strong portfolio of newsletter writing or similar content
  • 4-year degree preferred, but not required with adequate portfolio
  • Experience managing multiple projects and clients with tight deadlines
  • Preferred experience with Google Suite, collaboration tools like Markup, and Beehiiv or comparable newsletter platform
  • Ability to collaborate with Marketing Manager and Editor and adapt to feedback
