Job Description:

As the HR Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing human resources strategies that drive organizational success. You will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of HR functions, including performance improvement plans (PIPs), policy development, sustainability initiatives, and employee retention efforts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective PIP processes to support employees who are not meeting performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify performance issues, establish clear improvement goals, and provide coaching and support to employees.
  • Monitor progress, provide feedback, and make recommendations regarding the continuation or termination of PIPs based on performance outcomes.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to assess policy needs, identify gaps, and develop solutions that promote fairness, transparency, and consistency across the organization.
  • Communicate policies effectively to all employees and provide training as necessary to ensure understanding and compliance.
  • Drive sustainability efforts within the organization, developing and implementing initiatives that promote environmental responsibility, social impact, and ethical business practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability considerations into HR practices, such as recruitment, employee engagement, and performance management.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving continuous progress towards environmental and social goals.
  • Develop and implement retention strategies to attract, engage, and retain top talent within the organization.
  • Analyze turnover trends, identify underlying causes, and develop targeted interventions to address retention challenges.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction, such as career development programs, recognition initiatives, and work-life balance initiatives.
  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to the HR team, aligning HR initiatives with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to HR, and proactively recommend adjustments to HR strategies and practices.
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational change initiatives, including culture transformation, organizational restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience dealing with front line employees; logistics and warehouses
  • Experience working with PEO's
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience in PIP management, policy development, sustainability, and employee retention.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations, with a focus on performance management, employment law, and sustainability best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving results and delivering innovative HR solutions.
  • Certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred.
