Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Central Islip, New York Job Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Contract Work Arrangement: On-Site Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to manage full-cycle accounts payable processes using SAP and Cimmra. This role focuses on non-inventory invoice processing, vendor invoice reviews, and financial reconciliations. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams to optimize workflows and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounts payable using SAP. Process non-inventory invoices via SAP. Review vendor invoices, statements, T&E reports, and credit card bills; reconcile discrepancies. Perform month-end close activities and generate all related reports. Handle bank transactions including deposits, check writing, wire transfers, and ACH payments (with management approval). Coordinate vendor setup and ongoing management. Optimize invoice approval workflows and internal processes. Collaborate with internal teams to maintain MIS using Microsoft Office tools. Support the annual operating expense budgeting process. Conduct periodic closing activities and track monthly provisions. Maintain and update lists of AMCs and other fixed charges. Assist with month-end GL analysis for financial statements and cash flow planning. Lead cash flow management, bank reconciliations, and asset evaluations. Update and share MIS related to utility consumption. Support corporate secretarial practices and maintain records as guided by the COSEC team. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in accounts payable and invoicing. Proficiency in SAP Strong data entry and purchase order management skills. Ability to review and reconcile vendor invoices and statements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools. Preferred Qualifications Experience with way match and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with financial compliance and regulatory standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Central Islip, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
