Position: Staff Psychologist   Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP)

The RRTP Psychologist serves as a psychologist within the Mental Health Service of the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. The provider has primary assignment at the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs (MHRRTP) providing individual therapy, group therapy, assessment, case management and other psychological services as needed to Mental Health RRTP patients.  

Key Responsibilities:

The RRTP Psychologist will diagnose mental disorders, conduct psychological or neuropsychological assessments, treat mental disorders through a variety of modalities, and provide adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders. Among the modalities provided are individual, family, and group psychotherapies and other interventions such as behavioral health and community interventions. The RRTP Psychologist will consult with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues. He/She may be involved in program evaluation, teaching, training, and research activities.  

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a psychologist.
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent clinical care.
