Join usThrough examinations and monitoring, Credit Review provides an independent assessment of the quality of credit decisioning, portfolio management, risk recognition practices and the effectiveness of credit processes across the bank's credit platform, identifies existing and emerging risks, and reports its findings to various stakeholders, including executive management, the Board of Directors or committee thereof, external auditors and regulatory agencies.This job is responsible for establishing and executing a risk-based coverage plan to monitor the leveraged lending/leveraged finance portfolio within Enterprise Credit. Key responsibilities include serving as a subject matter expert in Credit Review, developing and executing a risk-based coverage plan to monitor and examine the portfolio, and performing and reviewing transactional testing of credit process execution controls of new and existing clients to evaluate appropriateness of client selection, adherence to underwriting expectations, quality of ongoing monitoring and risk rating accuracy to proactively identify emerging risks and their impact on portfolio credit quality. This role includes providing updates to business leaders and executive management on continuous testing and examination results, new issues and emerging risks.Responsibilities:Serves as a subject matter expert for the large corporate leveraged finance, capital markets leveraged finance originations and enterprise-credit wide leveraged lending portfolios of loans, oversees the execution of Credit Review's coverage planPerforms and oversee transactional testing of credit process execution of new and existing clients, and provides direct and timely feedback on transactional reviews performed by othersLead and oversee leveraged lending examination activitiesProvides regulatory updates on results, and responds to inquiriesDocuments findings through quarterly reporting, including assessing and rating credit control effectiveness, direction of controls, and credit riskiness for the specific portfoliosAssesses and advises on the impact of industry-level, geo-political, and economic trends to credit portfoliosManages issues, including approval of issue severity ratings, action plans, ongoing issue status tracking, and oversight of issue validationRequired Qualifications:Minimum 8 years of commercial credit experience (credit review, direct lending, workout, risk management and/or regulatory), including deep understanding of large or complex portfoliosExperience in leveraged lending/leveraged finance, and related regulatory expectationsAbility to support conclusions through fact-based analysis and ability to influence senior leadersExcellent credit analysis and project management skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skillsStrong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to manage multiple complex tasks while delivering high quality resultsDesired Qualifications:Internal Credit Review / Credit Risk ReviewBachelor's DegreeSkills:Data manipulation and analysis skillsEffective process assessment skills - the ability to identify control gaps and their implications to the broader portfolio populationExperience navigating a matrix organizationIndependent and takes initiativeResourcefulness in identifying, assessing and reporting on emerging risksPerformance management and career development skillsExperience with a Credit Review examination processProficiency in ExcelAbility to work in a team environment, focus on high quality executionCritical thinker, high energy and intellectually curiousExperience with leading without authorityAbility to coach and develop more junior associatesShift: 1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40Pay range $128,700.00 - $200,300.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
