Job Summary: Join our operations in Indianapolis, Indiana, as an Inventory Control Specialist. This critical position ensures the accuracy and reliability of our warehouse inventory, a cornerstone of efficient logistics and customer satisfaction. You will be instrumental in tracking, auditing, and optimizing stock levels to support seamless operations.Responsibilities: Conduct thorough cycle counts and full physical inventories, ensuring data accuracy. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes for improved accuracy. Maintain precise inventory records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS). Implement and enforce established inventory control policies and procedures. Monitor inventory performance, generate reports on stock status, and provide insights for optimization. Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure optimal storage and handling of goods. Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Identify and report on aged or obsolete inventory, recommending corrective actions. Provide accurate inventory data to support effective logistics planning and execution. May require occasional lifting and movement of inventory items, up to 30 lbs. Qualifications: Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on accuracy. Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory software. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen eye for detail. Excellent organizational skills and a methodical approach to tasks. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately and efficiently. Comprehensive understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE. Capacity to work both independently and cooperatively within a logistics team. Experience with occasional light lifting (up to 30 lbs). High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications are a plus.
