Simply put, we take care of our advisors, so they can take care of their clients.Job Overview:LPL is seeking a Principal Network Engineer/Architect, and this individual will be responsible for the design, engineering, and operations of our LAN/WAN and hybrid Data Center (cloud and on-prem) environments. The position directly relates to providing scalable, resilient, and secure networking solutions for LPL, our Advisors, and their clients.Responsibilities:Engineer and architect Data Center, Cloud, and LAN/WAN networking solutions.Configuration and deployment of both on-premise and cloud-based networking technologies.Responsible for the network domain as part of our DR strategy.Wide area network design, deployments, and administration of MPLS, DIA, and SDWAN.Collaborate effectively with various Teams within the organization.Troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues and develop continuous improvement.Participate in an on-call schedule rotation.What are we looking for?We want strong collaboratorswho can deliver a world-class client experience. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are client-focused, team oriented, and are able to execute in a way that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.Requirements:10+ years of Data Center Core Network Engineering and Architecture experience in a Cisco-centric environmentHands-on experience and engineering/architecture level expertise in Cisco ACI and switches such as Nexus 9000, 7000, 5000 and 2000 SwitchesAdvanced knowledge of Cisco Data Center design and implementationStrong experience in Data Center migrationsExpert knowledge of dynamic Routing Protocols such as OSPF and BGPProven experience as a technical or people leaderBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar fieldPreferences:Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, and network segmentationCisco Certified Design Professional and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional Certification, but not requiredExperience using network monitoring and logging tools such as SolarWinds, LiveNX, and ELK to perform periodic network performance and compliance analysisAbility to shape strategic vision, transform, and lead without authority.Extensive experience working in large technology ecosystems with emphasis on integrating multiple externally facing high-scale, high volume, always-on mission-critical systems#LI-HybridPay Range: $125,000.00 - $208,300.00Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
