  • Position: Software Engineer - Embedded software engineering
  • Location: East Moline, IL, USA (On-site), willing to relocate
  • Must join Quadyster as a full-time employee (W-2)
  • Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
  • Willing to relocate East Moline, Illinois, United State.
  • Must have 3 years of Embedded software development experience.




Expected Salary: $130,000K to $140,000K



Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform embedded software engineering tasking including requirements analysis, operational concept development, software system design/architecture, component integration, design reviews, integration testing and problem solving
  • Develop embedded operating system software for vehicle controllers in C
  • Assign, coordinate, and review work from other engineers and support personnel. Collaborate with fellow engineers within the team on embedded software work
  • Execute unit and integration testing of software in multiple environments (virtual and lab)
  • Analyze issues and drive for resolution of issues found during testing



Core Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in embedded software development, hardware integration, and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in design and diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience in developing low-level and middleware drivers for hardware peripherals.
  • Skilled in software testing and verification, including Hardware In the Loop (HIL), Software in the Loop (SIL), and on-vehicle testing.
  • Knowledge of electronic test stands, particularly using National Instrument modules.
  • Familiar with CAN communication protocols, including J1939 and ISO 14229 standards.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with GitHub
  • Experience in Agile
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins for continuous integration workflows.
  • Ability to work effectively in a self-directed environment.


Education:

  • Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience
