you will play a crucial role in team mentorship, and contribute to delivering clean architecture and polished user experiences.


As a Senior Android Developer, you will be a key member of a team of Android Engineers contributing to award-winning and complex platforms. You'll have the opportunity to build upon one of the leading sports and entertainment platforms in the world. This consumer-centric app/platform encompasses everything from sports, content, eCommerce, ticketing, TV, finance, and more. The organization is experiencing tremendous growth and aims to expand its already extensive consumer base, with a significant focus on mobile opportunities, driving new user acquisition strategies, fostering greater brand partnerships, and creating a more unified platform. The environment offers a great deal of flexibility, encourages creativity, and ensures you will have a strong voice in the overall development process.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-traffic, mobile platforms encompassing content, ticketing, and on-demand services.
  • Mentor team members in solving challenging problems and enhancing existing products for engaging user experiences.
  • Collaborate with teams to create technical solutions that work across all mobile platforms.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain Android code for various platforms and devices.
  • Build upon a leading app in the app store by developing polished front-end experiences using Jetpack Compose.
  • Modernize legacy codebase by transitioning Java and XML views to Kotlin and Jetpack Compose frameworks.
  • Integrate and maintain vendor SDKs.
  • Lead full lifecycle software development: requirements gathering, design, develop, test, deploy, and support.
  • Lead projects from inception to successful delivery, aligning with business goals and stakeholders.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain communication services including push notifications, in-app messages, SMS notifications, and inbox messaging.
  • Influence the innovation of products used by millions of users worldwide.
  • Assist in changing the way content is consumed by users across various platforms and devices.


Skills & Experience Needed:

  • 5+ years of Android/Kotlin programming experience.
  • Proficiency in using Kotlin to write software for Android applications.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose for creating polished front-end UI experiences.
  • Prior experience in team lead or team mentorship roles.
  • Experience working with REST APIs and JSON.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and build automation tools.
  • Ability to deliver clean architecture.
  • Ability to refactor legacy codebases.
  • Experience in publishing multiple enterprise Android applications.
  • Experience building scalable, high-volume services.
  • Prior experience developing backend software (a plus).
  • MDM management and integration knowledge (a plus).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field.
