Timekeeping Specialist - HYBRIDWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll & Leave Specialist. This role is critical in ensuring accurate payroll processing and managing leave of absence and disability cases. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Accurately enter leave decisions into UKG and apply appropriate leave and disability pay codes to team members' timecards.Manage and maintain timecards for employees on leave, ensuring compliance with company policies.Process historical corrections and manual edits, including adjustments such as backing out PTO hours for employees on leave.Review accruals and calculate supplemental amounts as needed.Demonstrate proficiency in Excel to manage multiple payroll-related spreadsheets.Handle high-volume tasks, including daily management of 100+ timecards and processing 16150 leave requests.Support payroll for approximately 800 timecards biweekly as part of a 5-person team.Communicate effectively with team members to resolve discrepancies, ask follow-up questions, and provide clear guidance.Balance responsibilities between payroll processing and leave/disability administration.Essential Skills:Experience working in UKGExperience with high-volume payroll processingHealthcare industry experienceKnowledge around Leave of Absence and FMLAProficiency in Excel, including formulas and bumpingAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Strong analytical skillsExcellent communication abilitiesCapacity to work independentlyWork Environment:This is a hybrid role where you will be onsite for training for 2-3 weeks then transition to remote work. However, you will need to come in 2-3 days a month. The typical working hours are 8am - 4:30pm, though there are 2 days biweekly where you will need to start at 7am to complete payroll tasks.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
