Our Challenge:

As a Data Modeler / Architect, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to work on complex technical requirements. You will be responsible for managing multiple engagements, prioritize and resolve complex problems and escalate as necessary, in a fast-paced environment.


The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain robust data models using Erwin or similar tools, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Architect and implement scalable data solutions on Azure, leveraging services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
  • Perform SQL development tasks including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions to support data modeling and application requirements.
  • Conduct performance tuning activities to optimize database structures, queries, and overall system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, translate requirements into effective data models, and ensure seamless integration with applications and analytics platforms.
  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance considerations are incorporated into the data modeling and architecture processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance in data modeling, database design, and Azure data services to support strategic initiatives.


Requirements:

You are:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Modeler, Data Architect, or a related role with a focus on SQL development, performance tuning, Azure, and Erwin data modeling.
  • Expertise in utilizing Erwin or similar tools for data modeling and metadata management.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL development, with the ability to write optimized queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
  • Demonstrated experience in performance tuning techniques for databases and SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.


It would be great if you also had:
