Supervisory Mobility Transportation SpecialistThe incumbent serves as a Supervisory Mobility Transportation Specialist - Mobility Manager and manages all Veterans Transportation System (VTS) and Beneficiary Travel (BT) Program activities, including patient transport, Special Mode Travel (SMT), mileage reimbursement claims, transportation contracts, 911 ambulance claims, inter-facility transfers, and common carrier transportation.Responsibilities include:Managing the Veterans Transportation Program at the facility which provides safe and reliable transportation to Veterans.Orchestrating travel for eligible enrollees through mileage reimbursement and contracted travel modes.Planning, developing, evaluating, marketing, and directing key administrative activities in multiple programs related to transportation system for Veterans, active duty service members, Caregivers and others.Conducting complex and special studies for efficiency and productivity and recommending changes or improvements.Identifying resources required to support varied levels of program operations.Managing transportation budget, analyzing organizational budgets, and providing advice and recommendations to Medical Center management.Serving as Contracting Officer Representative for all transportation contracts.Providing consistent and effective outreach to community transit authorities.Coordinating the preparation and submission of recurring monthly, quarterly and annual performance improvement reports.Performing the full range of supervisory responsibilities.Ensuring that all transportation staff obtain and maintain appropriate licenses, certifications, and training.Work Schedule: FT, Monday - Friday; 7:30am - 4:00pm, Telework: This position may be authorized for Ad hoc telework only. Travel will be required on a periodic basis.
