As a Sales And Use Tax Senior, we'll look to you to apply your knowledge to a wide range of tax areas and processes, devising strategic outcomes to some very complex issues. It's all about taking on new skills and responsibilities as they arise and making the most of our dedicated mentors and training programs.Your key responsibilities include:Analyzing an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insightsIdentifying potential opportunities and risks and communicating these to our clientsLearning and researching current market trends, to maintain your credibility as a trusted advisorDeveloping clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve our clients' tax activitiesResearching our clients' business operations and building long-lasting relationships to tailor your advice to their specific needsSupervising a motivated team of professionals, guaranteeing they have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to reach their full potentialTo qualify for the role, you must have:A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related disciplineProfessional knowledge in a broad range of sales and use tax processes, concepts and toolsA proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organizationTechnical writing and research experience in a tax contextThe ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projectsStrong influencing skills, and the confidence to question existing processesWillingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environmentIdeally, you'll also have:An achieved or partially achieved CPA qualification, certification as a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, CMI designation, or the ability to sit for a state barWe're interested in people with initiative who are not afraid to speak up, with a genuine desire to make things better across the business. Learn more.We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $81,700 to $135,000. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $98,100 to $153,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
