Responsabilities


We are seeking a skilled Java/Groovy Developer to join the Fixed Income Technology team of a major European Investment Bank. The successful candidate will:


  • Develop and Integrate Components: Work with Java/Groovy components within a fixed income technology stack that includes in-house built components and vendor software such as ECNs, ION, Bloomberg, Broadridge, Polypaths, and Murex.
  • Software Development and Systems Integration: Leverage familiarity with fixed income trade flows, valuations, and risk management to perform software development and systems integration.
  • Support Market and Credit Risk Functions: Utilize familiarity with Polypaths or similar securitized products systems to support market and credit risk business functions.
  • Project Design and Delivery: Contribute to the design and delivery of complex projects to achieve key business objectives.
  • Quality Assurance and Technical Support: Perform quality assurance functions and provide a high degree of technical engineering and support to the team.
  • Promote Best Practices: Encourage best practices, technology standards, and drive continuous improvement.


Key Requirements


  • Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Java/Groovy with a focus on systems integration.
  • Java Platform: High proficiency with the overall Java platform and open-source development tools.
  • SQL: Strong proficiency in SQL.
  • SDLC Tools and Integration Frameworks: Familiarity with Git, Gradle, Camel, Kafka.
  • AWS: Familiarity with AWS EC2, S3.
  • Project Models: Ability to work in Agile and Waterfall project models.
  • Fixed Income Knowledge: Understanding of fixed income flows and fixed income markets knowledge (ION, Bloomberg, Broadridge, etc.).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
