Don't miss this Material Handler role in Cedar Rapids, IA.Material Handler Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Part Preparation: Clean, sand, degrease, and mask parts as needed to ensure proper powder coating applicationMaterial Handling: Load and unload parts onto racks or coating lines; transport materials throughout the facility using forklifts or carts as requiredPowder Coating Support: Assist with powder application by setting up spray equipment, selecting correct powder colors, and ensuring even, consistent coverageCuring Process: Monitor parts as they move through curing ovens to ensure proper adhesion, finish, and cure timesQuality Inspection: Perform visual inspections of coated parts to identify defects and verify conformance to specificationsHousekeeping & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; properly handle waste and follow all safety proceduresMaterial Handler Requirements:Ability to lift 50+ poundsPerform repetitive tasks including standing, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout the shiftComfortable operating production equipment, following work instructions, reading specifications, and performing basic troubleshooting as neededQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
