Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Manufacturing Foreman for our Engineering manufacturing client to start at $75 to $90K.
Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Foreman:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication, welding, and machining. Knowledge of the ASME Code for the fabrication of Boilers and Pressure Vessels is preferred. The Manufacturing Forman will manage all facets of the manufacturing facility to deliver a quality, timely, and cost effective product to both internal and external customers.
- Operational Management:
- Plan and oversee daily operations of the manufacturing department, ensuring efficient workforce scheduling and precise product manufacturing.
- Identify material capacity constraints and resolve internal issues, including material shortages.
- Employee Instruction and Supervision:
- Provide continuous instruction to manufacturing employees on proper techniques and procedures, adhering strictly to AET’s manufacturing practices.
- Spend at least 75% of the time on the manufacturing shop floor, working closely with direct reports during all phases of manufacturing.
- Collaboration and Problem Solving:
- Work closely with support organizations (Procurement, Engineering, and Quality) to resolve customer /internal issues, mitigate delivery, and schedule problems.
- Lead daily shop Key Performance Indicator (KPI) meetings and report weekly results to upper management.
- Administrative Duties:
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members and monitor their adherence to policies and performance expectations.
- Enforce and comply with all Environmental Health and Safety practices both internally and externally.
Schedule:
Location: South Holland
Schedule/Shift Details
- 5:00 am to 3:30 pm Mon-Fri and 6:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturdays as required
Qualifications for the Manufacturing Foreman:
- 10 + years of manufacturing experience and 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience with a minimum of 20 direct reports. Associates Degree or Trade School Degree from an accredited institution is also preferred.
- Ability to be able to handle multiple priorities and complex problems under time constraints in a fast paced dynamic environment.
- Must be able to instruct and interpret GD&T and Welding Symbols
- ISO and Total Quality Management experience preferred but not required.
- Must possess strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to evaluate production reports and metrics and make decisions that affect the results of the area of responsibility to establish shore and long range goals.
