The Clinical Informatics Pharmacist assists with analyzing data relating to prescription medications and examining factors such as drug dosage and side effects. Working under close supervision, this role supports the workflows, data collections and report details related to analyzing electronic health records as well as ensures data is safely stored for retrieval. Works with the leaders to develop, optimize and implement unique workflows that support accessing and retrieving pharmaceutical data, such as drug dosage and prescription medication.Assists with collaborating with technical and pharmacy resources to ensure the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system meets the end-user needs as well as the organization?s pharmacy and patient care needs.Supports pharmacy end users with the dual intention of optimizing and standardizing workflows and processes as well as identifying and developing new workflows that improve the efficiency of the pharmacy staff.Understands and empathizes with end users in order to develop solutions for improved patient care and end-user efficiency within the pharmacy space.Helps develop solutions to maximizing usage and storage of EMR system drug and prescription information and that it is configured securely by IT staff.Supports the review, testing and validation of new application releases to ensure new releases meet the needs of the end user and patients.Performs other duties as assigned.
