The Corporate Security Officer will conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior), control access and egress, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, compose reports, deter criminal activity, and misconduct, and perform other duties as specified in post orders. This position will ensure all duties are carried out with safety as the number one priority and will foster and model a healthy Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE).Compensation-Starting at $19.42 per hourResponsibilities:Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle as well as post/site inspectionsWatch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazardsSound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized personsWarn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articlesPermit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exitsObserve departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirementsInvestigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the postProvide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional mannerQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentCurrent and valid driver's licenseLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentIf previously employed, verifiable positive work historyAbility to operate a radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors and surveillance equipment as neededProficient computer skills including Microsoft OfficeEffective oral and written communication skillsActive listening skillsAbility to assess and evaluate situations effectivelyAbility to identify critical issues quickly and accuratelyAttention to detailBe at least 21 years old or minimum age required by the StateAbility to work scheduled 12-hour shiftsAbility to operate a radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors and surveillance equipment.Demonstrate an ability to interact cordially and communicate with the publicPreferred Qualifications:Prior security, nuclear or corporate security experienceAllied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
