Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production of fluid pumps that meet quality standards, safety regulations, and delivery schedules. This role involves managing a team of production associates, coordinating workflow, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise Production Activities:oConducts New Hire TrainingoLeads and manages a team of production operators and technicians.oAssign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to production schedules.oEstablishes goals and performance expectations for manufacturing team members. Sets objectives and defines results required to support strategic business unit and organizational goals.oEnsures that facilities, tooling and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated to maximize output, and to provide safe working conditions.oProvides formal performance reviews and talent development plans, fostering team development and cross-training to maintain a culture of continuous improvement. oHold employees accountable with regards to discipline and adherence to company rules and policies. oBuilds / Develops high performing teams and systems, enabling efficient execution of objectives and goals.Quality Assurance:oEnsure all products meet company and industry quality standards.oCollaborate with Quality Control to address defects and implement corrective actions.Safety & Compliance:oEnforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.oEnsure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.Process Improvement:oIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflow.oProvides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department. oEnsures that customer requirements for product quality, delivery and cost are met or exceeded through effective planning, product design, scheduling, manufacturing, and shipping processes. Resource Management:oMonitor inventory levels of raw materials and components.oCoordinate with procurement and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.Reporting & Documentation:oMaintain accurate production records and prepare daily/weekly reports.oTrack KPIs such as output, scrap rates, and labor efficiency.QualificationsEducation: Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.Experience: o5+ years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in pump or mechanical component production.o3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.oProven experience with Lean manufacturing tools and methodologies.oStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. oAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Skills: oStrong leadership and communication skills.oKnowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systems.oFamiliarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
