The PSR I performs high-quality phlebotomy and specimen collection while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and accuracy. This role is ideal for candidates with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform daily specimen collection and processing activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor. Maintain a safe, professional, and organized work environment. Execute forensic and clinical specimen collection in accordance with established procedures. Demonstrate strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections. Maintain accurate records and required documentation. Promote a positive and professional image with patients, clients, and colleagues. Exhibit leadership behaviors, process excellence, and strict adherence to confidentiality standards. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed. Required Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA). Minimum 6 months of experience; 1+ year phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service experience in retail or healthcare setting preferred. Keyboard/data entry proficiency required. Experience with straight needle draws and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) strongly preferred.
