Job Title: Local Contract - Registered Nurse - OR Surgical Number of positions: 1 Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Night shifts- 36 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 11/26/2023 Hourly pay: $48.80 OT: 1.5 Weekly Pay: $1,756.80 JOB DESCRIPTIONSummaryDepartment: Surgery Shift Timing: 19:00-07:30 Hours- Monday to friday (3 Days/12 Hours) Per Week: 36 Hours Hospital unit: OR Unit descriptions Nurse to patient ratios 1:1 Patient population ALL surgical patients, all ages # beds per unit 14 OR's and 2 procedure rooms Other staff/resources on the unit orderlies, unit secretary Certifications required per unit none Case type: All types except for open heart . Roles & ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. QUALIFICATIONSBLS and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of current RN OR Surgical experience. Graduate from a fully accredited RN Surgical program Active unencumbered Wisconsin RN state license One year of Cerner experience RequirementsCOVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
