Program Director - Medical Coding and BillingFull TimeJob Title: Program Director Medical Billing & CodingSummary: The MCB Program Director is responsible for leveraging their expertise to develop, maintain, and deliver education services to students thru creating and maintaining core curriculum, ensuring delivery of core curriculum, preparing course plans and material, supervising staff and oversight of the MCB Program. The MCB PD will monitor and manage student progress and attendance, student advising, and grade reporting. The MCB PD will also ensure continues compliance with Federal, State, and Institutional accreditation agencies.This position also requires adherence to CHCP's core values, which are the basic elements of how we go about our work. They are the practices we use (or should be using) every day in everything we do. Our core values are a small set of timeless guiding principles, which we live by and include:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise and evaluate instructional staffDirect advisory committee activities for program.Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.Monitor instructor lesson plans and their posting.Screen instructional applicantsReview curriculum and textbooks with instructors, program managers, advisory board, and Campus President.Review student evaluations of instructors and programs, externship evaluations, employer surveys, and graduate surveys with the DOE/EC and Campus President.Interview prospective students during enrollment process as needed.Conduct new student orientation as needed.Review completion and placement rates with Director of Career Services and the Campus President.Schedule in-service training.Develop annual start date calendar.Assist registrar in maintaining employee and student records.Monitor TWC, federal and accrediting standards compliance..Adheres to academic policies/procedures for compliance.Assist with new program development.Assist with student advising.Assist Director of Education/Education Coordination with administrative functions.Other duties as assigned.Instructor:Instruct classes using a variety of teaching strategiesMonitor attendance of students and submit to Registrar in a timely fashionManage classroom to provide an optimal learning environmentProvide tutoring to students needing additional helpPrepare lesson plansFollow syllabi and lesson plans to maintain a pace that meets instructional requirementsPrepare lecture and testing materials for studentsGrade tests in a timely fashion and submit grades to Registrar within allotted timeframePeriodically evaluate students to assess retention of course materialAdvise students with regard to academic progressEvaluate and ensure students meet program competenciesMaintain clean work environmentBe punctual and reliableEnsure adherence to school scheduleImmediately notify Education Coordinator or School Director of all incidents that may threaten the security of studentsEducation/Experience:Associates degree with five years relative experience.Must be certified in Medical Coding and Billing
