Construction Ops LeadCoordinates the development, implementation, construction and documentation of new construction projects. Oversees activities such as pre-fielding, planning and scheduling. Directs the construction related activities of subcontractor and/or in-house personnel and ensures that all safety and quality standards are met.Responsibilities include:Providing for the timely construction of new cable related facilitiesScheduling and directing the construction activities of subcontractor and in-house construction crewsAdministering job site quality inspectionsMeasuring performance, providing feedback, mentoring direct reportsIssuing projects to subcontractorsModifying system design and construction plansMonitoring progress, material expenditures, overtime labor expensesCompiling progress reports, maintaining inventory and tracking vendor deliveriesProviding for a safe work environmentRepresenting the company with property owners and municipalitiesAbility to communicate in person and by telephoneMay obtain construction and utility permitsImproving work efficiencyQualifications include:High School Diploma or equivalentKnowledge of all phases of cable system constructionKnowledge of CATV Plant DesignMinimum of five years construction experienceMinimum of two years' experience with MDU design and buildsMinimum of three years' manager/supervisor experienceKnowledge of applicable safety regulationsEffective communication skillsPlanning and organizational skillsAbility to read construction plans, analyze data and prepare paperworkAbility to explain and comprehend detailed informationGood data entry and math skillsAbility to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wiresHand and finger dexterityAbility to carry and use tools and equipmentAbility to work while standing 50-70% of the timeAbility to work in confined spacesAbility to climb poles using gaffs, hooks and climbing beltAbility to drive Company vehicle safelyDOTKnowledge of Cable Television products and services preferred
