- 2nd shift, 3p-11p Monday-Friday
OR
-12hr rotating nights 7p-7a 2,2,3 schedule
Example schedule:
Week 1: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat
Week 2: Sun, Wed, Thurs
We are currently looking for a full-time Converting Operator to support production at our Lenexa plant. Essential to TC Transcontinental Packaging operations, the Converting Operator performs machine set-up for orders, safely operates machine to production target, waste, and quality standards, and trouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard.

When your actions lead to success.
  • Set up and safe operation of converting machine by troubleshooting and resolving mechanical problems of the machine
  • Continuously monitor machine operation for efficiency, quality, and to minimize waste
  • Provide leadership, expertise, and training to other team members
  • Maintain accurate production records with legible production logs completed on time
  • Ensure bag/pouch quality meet required specifications
  • Follow safety and quality guidelines as trained
When your expertise drives us.
  • High school Diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • 1+ years operating a bag/pouch converting machine, preferred.
  • 2+ years production experience
  • Ability to occasionally work overtime
  • Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly as well as ability to operate overhead hoist system to move cylinders weighing in excess of 200 pounds
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and twisting
  • Ability to tolerate strong solvent smell in parts of the plant
