THE OPPORTUNITY
Cresfund is searching for a SUPERINTENDENT to assist with the daily operations of ongoing construction and client satisfaction. This includes subcontractor management, interfacing with design and engineering consultants, and clients. This is also an opportunity to successfully manage jobs from inception to completion with direct management of subcontractors, schedules, and on-site risk mitigation.
The ideal candidate has experience in on-site and off-site management of subcontractors and clients. They must be disciplined and self-driven, as this position will be primarily from a remote location. We require an individual that can focus on the tasks and activities given to them and remain consistently focused, while also anticipating future tasks and planning accordingly. This individual should also be flexible to learn and embrace new technologies that are vital parts of our operations. Additionally, the candidate should be comfortable with client and vendor interaction on a regular basis. Interpersonal skills, both as a manager and representative of the company are a must.
CS will be responsible for managing all construction efforts of subcontractors and employees to ensure the project is delivered safely on time, on budget and of the highest quality.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3-5 years prior experience in a related field
- Ability to multi-task and react quickly to solve problems
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Possesses self-motivation and self-direction
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Ability to motivate teams and achieve targeted goals
- Safety conscious
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work with and without direct supervision
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- General Contractor’s license preferred
- Bi-lingual preferred
- Able to lift (60) Ibs.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Ability to read architectural and engineering plans
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Experience with project management software
- Experience with budgeting, estimating, and coordinating subcontractor proposals
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
The position will report directly to the CEO of the company, coordinate all schedules and strategies through the COO, and work with Accounting and Administrative teams.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist managing jobsite cleanliness, security, and safety
- Oversee planning, coordination and execution of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Work with and/or manage architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to find solutions to challenges
- Inspect work performed by subcontractors
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, inspection reports, and other documentation
- Assist enforcing and coordinating the schedule
- Procure necessary materials
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the job site
- Unload, inventory, and stock jobsite materials
- Enforce quality control measures
- Negotiate change order scope and pricing
- Assist in the solicitation of new vendors and subcontractors
- Report weekly and as needed on progress of existing and new jobs
- Interface with clients and staff with utmost professionalism
