Venesco is recruiting for multiple Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide services at

William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) with primary support to Fort Bliss Mobilization and Demobilization (MOB/DEMOB), Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP), Conus Replacement Center (CRC), and Separation and Physical History Examinations (SHPE) and secondary support to WBAMC and outlying clinics. Mission requirements are to ensure Active Military, Reservist, ARNG, DA Civilians, and Contractor Personnel are medically validated for deployment, upon re-deployment, resolve non-deployable conditions and perform full Separation History and Physical Examinations. All services are to be performed on Fort Bliss military installations, with most services provided within the Soldier Readiness Processing Center and other soldier processing affiliated facilities (medical/dental) located throughout the installation.

Hours: The contractor shall provide services for work weeks up to 40 workhours and may consist of an average of eight (8), ten (10), twelve (12)-hour -work days scheduled Sunday through Saturday to include federal holidays between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. A mandatory 30 minute to 1-hour unpaid lunch will be given during the shift as determined by the clinic. Current operational hours are from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. but may be changed or be staggered dependent on the mission.

Duties shall consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Shall see an average of 4 to 6 patients per hour, and/or the patient per hour average of the other collective CPs, unless affected by circumstances beyond their control, which shall be reported to the Section OIC/NCOIC or designee.
  • Shall comply with all MTF productivity standards and maintain a level of productivity comparable with that of other individuals performing similar services.
  • Shall obtain service member history and pertinent family history.
  • Shall administer Health Risk Appraisal questionnaire.
  • Shall perform quality control checks and operator maintenance for service member care equipment.
  • Shall assist in identifying service member needs and implementing the plan of care.
  • Shall document pertinent care already provided and care needed in the facility.
  • Shall maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with directives and prepare such records and reports as may be required by the policy.
  • Shall prepare all documentation to meet or exceed established standards to include but not limited to timeliness, legibility, accuracy, content, and signature.
  • Shall communicate pertinent service member data to Physician, Physician Assistant (PA), and/or Nurse Practitioner (NP) as appropriate.
  • Shall recognize and initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations, including initiating life-saving measures in absence of Physician, PA, and/or NP.\
  • Shall assist with clinic/section related administrative tasks.
  • Shall complete each encounter at the end of the day and appropriately close the record.
  • Shall follow established government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols in the performance of duties as outlined in MTF policies and procedures.
  • Safety is everyone's responsibility, if you notice an unsafe act/process, please cease it, and communicate it to the OIC/NCOIC or designee.
  • Document Care Given. Maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with applicable directives and prepare such records and reports as may be required by the policy.
  • Ensure all documentation and reports are legible and complete. The CP shall prepare all documentation to meet or exceed established standards to include but not limited to timeliness, legibility, accuracy, content, and signature.
  • Prepare service members for physical examination.
  • Carry out prescribed Physician, PA, and/or NP orders and document in service member medical records.
  • Communicate pertinent service member data to Physician, PA, and/or NP as appropriate.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries regarding clinic services and/or follow-up ancillary reports.
  • Shall abide by all clinical standards, rules, and procedures including requirements for licensure, credentialing, and quality assurance programs.

Requirements

  • Degree: Certificate.
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or another acceptable accreditation body.
  • Experience: Possess a minimum of one year of experience within the last three years working as a full-time LVN/LPN.
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse.
  • Additional Certification: Possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. The American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is the only program accepted. BLS recertification shall be maintained in a current status at all times while the CP provides services via this contract.
