Nevco Service Technician

Nevco Sports, the world's leading supplier of integrated display and scoring systems is looking to supplement the Service Support team with a Support Technician at its service department in Greenville, IL. Nevco is the largest privately held manufacturer of LED scoreboards, message centers and video displays in the world. Nevco has an 85 year tradition of quality and innovation.

Requirements:

·        Successful candidates should be motivated to learn product lines (2-year technical degree in Electronics, Computers, or equivalent experience a plus)

·        Strong discipline and problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot across systems and applications

·        Ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve them remotely

·        Patience and tactfulness to collaborate with customers that are experiencing problems and may be upset or in stressful situations with emphasis on simplifying and enhancing customer experience

·        Experience with office equipment, including computer and standard office software (MS Office)

·        Excellent verbal and written communications skill required

·        Interpersonal skills to work effectively with co-workers

·        Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record is a must

·        Willingness to travel up to 20%

·        An interest in sports a plus

Scope of Responsibility:

·        Answer customer service calls, resolve issues and conduct training remotely (by phone and remote PC session)

·        Create and update issues in service ticketing system

·        Take ownership of assigned tickets and follow-up through to resolution

·        Self-learning product knowledge to become an in-house technical expert on software and electronic systems

·        Occasional field service onsite at stadium customer locations (current passport a plus)

·        Provide feedback of trending issues to engineering and product installation teams

Physical Requirements:

·        Must be able to operate lift equipment at elevation (certification is a plus)

·        Must be able to work safely in varying weather conditions to troubleshoot and repair onsite video/scoreboard equipment
