Our client, a leading Biotechnology Company is hiring an IT Support Technician/Datacenter Technician to join their team in Tarrytown, NY
**This is a 6-month W2 contract with benefits** (Potential for conversion or extention)
As the IT Support Technician/Datacenter-Technician, you will install, configure, and troubleshoot server and non-desktop computer hardware, lab instruments, lab equipment, software, systems, and other resources in a data center or other centralized computer network setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical skill and judgment to assist in technical support for computer/data center operations
- Maintain access control, data integrity, and file system security for the computer/data center environment
- Recommend process, hardware, and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades, to improve computer/data center efficiency
- May participate in the development of information technology and infrastructure projects
- Communicates highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
Desired Skills:
- 4+ year of experience with an Associate Degree related to STEM or 2+ years of experience with BS/BA
- Microsoft Office - Excel, Outlook, Word, etc
- Laboratory/Medical instrument or equipment experience
- Prior experience with ServiceNow
- Customer service oriented
