Reporting to the Dean of Graduate Studies and Provost, the Registrar is responsible for ensuring smooth registration and academic progression for the students of a small, independent graduate school. The ideal candidate communicates effectively with faculty members, students, advisors, and administrators, will quickly become expert in the school’s academic programs, policies, and procedures, and critically, will have a high level of comfort with technology paired with a strong customer service orientation.


Key Responsibilities

· Coordinate policies and practices for effective administration of student academic records across three campuses.

· Prepare course registration materials and registration setup in the student information system. Schedule courses in person and on Zoom and assist with videoconferencing.

· Facilitate advisor and student success with onboarding, enrollment, progression, and degree audits.

· Coordinate program catalog and handbook updates in accordance with curriculum changes and compliance requirements.

· Serve as a secondary Designated School Official (DSO) to advise international students with regards to F-1 visa regulations.


Key Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of work experience in administration and Microsoft Office.

· Experience should include significant attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.

· Experience with a student information system that includes maintaining, working with, and reporting student data.

· Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously, clear written and oral communication skills, and problem-solving skills.


Work Environment and Benefits

This is a hybrid position based at BGSP’s campus in Brookline, Massachusetts, with options for one or two days per week remote work, negotiated with the hiring manager. There is some flexibility in Monday-Friday work hours.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience; staff members receive health insurance and generous paid time off. We are unable to hire anyone without current authorization to work in the U.S.
