Our Approach.Shipping & Receiving ClerkThe Shipping & Receiving Clerk position verifies and keeps records on incoming/outgoing shipments and prepares items for Stocking/Picking by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. Must operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.Responsibilities:Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.Operates PB crimp tools, including diagnosis, repair and processing.Operates the stretch wrap banders.Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.Supports the receiving of goods with a high quality and attention to detail to comply with customers stocking needs/request.Responsible for receiving all materials designated for parts fulfillment department.Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead.Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.Supports the shipment of goods produced and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.Responsible for arranging trucks for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.Part Receiving/Stocking cross work.Part picking/shipping cross workEducation and Experience:Minimum of three years' experience in a warehouse/fulfillment environment.Must have basic computer user knowledge.Shipping and Receiving experience preferred.Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication, and organizational skills.Knowledge of WMS and RF guns.Demonstrated commitment to safety.Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.Preferred one year ERP experience.Attention to detail, self-starter.Ability to read and use a tape measure.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum of 2 years of forklift & reach truck experienceMust pass pre-employment and random drug screenAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.It is the policy of Material Handling Systems, Inc (MHS) and its affiliated companies to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, pregnancy or pregnancy-related condition, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, citizenship status (if authorized to work in the U.S.), or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
