Day to Day:

Insight Global is searching for a Monitoring Architect/Engineer to join the Operational Intelligence Team for one of our largest financial clients. They seek 2 experienced mid-senior Engineers who will drive the global monitoring strategy for critical Markets APS applications by designing, architecting, planning, reviewing, developing, and building end-to-end monitoring solutions to support applications.


Currently, the team has acquired an additional set of applications from the Global Banking line of business that do not have proper monitoring flows in place and are not properly integrated well enough in their systems. This individual will assess the current monitoring scope, understand the requirements of the application(s) monitoring functions, see where the gaps exist, come up with an overall monitoring strategy to adapt and implement that into the monitoring tools used with the engineering and production support teams. They will be working with both application teams to figure out how to best monitor them and with engineers to build and figure out the solutions. This job requires 40% architecture/oversight and 60% Hands-on engineering work.


They will identify gaps that exist in the current monitoring systems- Dynatrace and Splunk. They will provide integrated systems planning, recommendations on new or different technologies that will enhance current systems and support overall corporate and business goals aligned to the Application Production Support monitoring strategy. An understanding of different components in an application- how they’re built, how they run, how they’re supported and interact with system software and hardware is essential to the role.
