We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in delivering high-quality software products. You will be responsible for designing and executing manual test cases, creating and managing test plans in Azure DevOps, and ensuring data integrity through database testing.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for data migration projects, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with developers and other QA engineers to ensure effective communication and resolution of identified issues.
  • Utilize manual testing techniques to identify and report software defects.
  • Perform database testing, including querying data, creating test scripts, and verifying data integrity during migrations.
  • Conduct thorough API testing, including functional, performance, and security testing.
  • Write clear and concise test cases, outlining steps, expected results, and pass/fail criteria.
  • Create and manage test plans within Azure DevOps, defining testing objectives, scope, and resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest software testing methodologies and tools.
  • Document testing processes and results for future reference.


Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience in software QA testing, with a focus on manual testing.
  • Experience with creating, formulating and executing test plans.
  • Familiarity writing test plans for application and database migrations.
  • Experience using SQL for querying data and verifying data integrity during migrations
  • Proficiency in API testing tools and techniques. (i.e., Postman)
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for test plan management (a plus).
