Location: Wayland, MIJob Summary:The primary responsibility of the Estimating Engineer / Inside Sales Coordinator is to provide technical and administrative aid to the national sales staff within Mersino, serving as a working team member and individual contributor to the team's success. Typical Duties and Responsibilities:Drive the bid-spec pipeline by managing the various bid lead services, identifying and pursuing large national projects, and passing on to branches those projects uncovered in the territoryDrive the bid-spec market for municipal pump sales nationallyAct as the first point of contact for inbound customer calls, providing initial dialogue to gain information on the opportunity, ultimately ensuring that the lead is passed on to the proper AM.Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential clientsPrepare basic quotes for sales opportunities including complete pumps, pump parts, accessory sales, etc.Provide technical support for the Global product lines (pumps, generators, accessories, etc.)Develop and maintain proper databases of references and project experience required with bid submission to facilitate the quoting processComplete database management of pricing on all components - sales and rental pricing - with attention to market conditionsComplete CRM database auditing and maintenanceGather and maintain information required to complete pre-qualifications and other such submittals or approvalsMaintain and manage municipal and government purchasing programsDevelop a target list for prospective distributors, working with the Director of Inside Sales and Engineering to ensure proper market-targetingAssist with certification attainment and manage all certifications necessary for successful sales pursuitProvide necessary technical and job specific information to Marketing necessary for creating marketing toolsAssist with gathering technical data on projects and preparing reports to summarize project detailsEnsure that the Mersino Way is a guiding document in all daily activities Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or in a related field preferred2 years of experience in a related field with the ability to demonstrate excellence in customer serviceWork experience in the construction industry preferredPlanning and organizational skills in handling multiple projectsProficient in MS Office and other required PC software applicationsSpecific Expectations:Excellent internal and external customer service skillsAbility to work effectively with othersAbility to multi-task in a changing environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrongly self-motivated, ability to perform tasks with little or no directionThe ability to work under pressure to meet deadlinesStrong time management and organizational skillsRequires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkwardDisclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
