Job Description:


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Entitlements and Development to join our homebuilding team in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the entitlement processes and overseeing development projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of residential communities.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and oversee the land acquisition process, including site identification, feasibility analysis, and negotiation of purchase agreements.
  • Manage the entitlement process, working closely with local government agencies, consultants, and other stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and permits.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful and efficient project execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including construction, sales, and marketing, to align development activities with overall company goals.
  • Monitor and manage project performance, addressing any issues or challenges that arise during the development process.
  • Stay up-to-date with local zoning laws, building codes, and industry trends to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in land acquisition, entitlements, and development within the homebuilding industry.
  • Strong understanding of local zoning laws, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements in Orlando, FL.
  • Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
