Beacon Veterinary Specialists, a well-established emergency and specialty practice in Fremont, CA, is seeking full-time Veterinary Assistants to join our Emergency department Pay: $25 - $35 per hour Location: 1618 Washington Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539 Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Assist with triage and emergency care, including performing or assisting with physical examinations, administering medications, monitoring fluid levels and vital signs. Client Communication: Educate clients, provide compassionate support, present recommended treatment plans with estimated costs, and review discharge instructions.  Veterinarian Assistance: Carry out tasks, verbal or written, as requested by the veterinarian to support diagnostic and treatment processes.  You’d Be a Great Fit If You: Are an experienced veterinary assistant (minimum 3 years in a veterinary clinical setting required) Have worked with sick patients providing cage-side nursing care and treatments Are skilled in blood draws, IV catheterization, digital radiology, and laboratory tests Can handle and safely restrain cats and dogs in a high-stress environment Are technology savvy and able to adapt to different veterinary practice software systems  Want to elevate the level of medicine you practice Strive to provide every client with compassion and care Are team-oriented with a strong work ethic About Us: At Beacon Veterinary Specialists, we’re more than a specialty and emergency hospital - we’re a team of devoted animal lovers committed to providing advanced, compassionate care for every patient, and thoughtful, reassuring support for every client who walks through our doors.  Every pet is unique and our board-certified veterinary specialists and skilled staff are committed to providing the individualized care and attention they deserve.
