Travel Nurse (RN) Tele/Stepdown (Telemetry/PCU) at Epic Travel Staffing summary:

As a Travel Nurse (RN) in a Telemetry/Stepdown unit, I provide critical care in a resource pool environment, ensuring high-quality patient care across various units. With a focus on meeting staffing needs during peak times, I am required to work night shifts, manage patient ratios effectively, and comply with certification and licensing requirements. My role includes collaborating with healthcare teams, adapting to diverse patient populations, and meeting holiday work obligations.

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - PCU Float

Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36hrs per week

Length: 13 weeks

Must work 2 out of the 3 major winter holidays

Requirements:

  • VA License
  • 2 Years Experience
  • BLS
  • ACLS 
  • NIHSS preferred
Must be comfortable working ALL PCU and MS units.Patient Ratios: PCU 5:1, MS 6/7:1
Other Details:

Resource Pool RN13 weeks3x12 hour nights, 7P-7A4x12 blocked, Fri-Mon or Sat-Tue, is also an option
Traveler MUST be comfortable working ALL PCU and MS units.
Staffing office reviews needs of the full hospital every 4 hours so RP nurses could be pulled/floated to another unit every 4 hours if needed.
Certs: BLS and ACLS required.
Patient Ratios:PCU 5:1MS 6/7:1
PLEASE SEND ALL RTO UPON TIME OF SUB
Holiday RTO Requirement:Travelers must work two out of the three major winter holidays (Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year). Please ensure traveler's RTO does not cover more than one of these holidays.
