Newsweek Recognizes Sedgwick as America's Greatest Workplaces National Top Companies Certified as a Great Place to Work Fortune Best Workplaces in Financial Services & InsurancePrimary Purpose: To investigate and process marine claims adjustments for clients; to handle complex losses locally unassisted up to $50,000 and assist the department on larger losses.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Investigate the cause and extent of the damages, obtain appropriate documentation, and issue settlement.Receive and review new claims and maintain data integrity in the claims system.Review survey reports and insurance policies to determine insurance coverage.Prepare settlement documents and request payment for the claim and expenses.Assist in preparing loss experience report to help determine profitability and calculate adequate future rates.Additional Functions and Responsibilities:Perform other duties as assigned.Support the organization's quality program(s).Travels as required.QualificationsEducation & Licensing: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $61,857.00 - $86,600.00.
